Yes. Florida law expressly authorizes notaries public to solemnize marriages. A marriage solemnized by a Florida notary is legally valid when the statutory requirements are met.
Yes. Florida does not require residency or citizenship to get married: couples visiting the US can obtain their marriage license with their current passport and get married during their stay.
Both must appear with a valid identification (passport or driver’s license). If anyone was married before, they must indicate the date their previous marriage ended. We guide you with the complete list of requirements before your appointment.
For non-Florida residents, the license can be used the same day it is issued. Florida residents have a 3-day waiting period, which is waived if they complete an authorized premarital course.
The Florida marriage license is valid for 60 days from issuance: the ceremony must be held within that time frame.
Yes. We officiate the marriage of same-sex couples with the same warmth, professionalism and compliance with Florida law as any other wedding.
Yes. Your ceremony can be held entirely in Spanish, English, or both languages, depending on what the couple and their guests prefer.

No. Florida does not require witnesses for either the license or the ceremony. Even so, they can come accompanied by family and guests if they wish.
As the officiant, we return the signed license to the county office so that the marriage is officially recorded. We then process the certified copy of your marriage certificate.
Yes. You will only need to indicate on the license application the date your previous marriage ended (divorce or death). If you need to notarize related statements, we do it in the same office.
The certified copy of the certificate is the official document of your marriage in the US and is what immigration procedures usually request. To use it outside the US, an additional legalization process is normally required; we guide you on the next step, without providing legal advice.
